Malus domestica ‘Jonagold’
Firm, crisp, and highly flavored, this sweet, large, yellow apple with red blush scores at the top in taste tests. A generous load of Apple; ripens early to mid-October and keeps well. Many new orchards in the Northwest are now growing Jonagold commercially. Makes an amazing sweet cider!
This variety is a triploid and is pollen sterile. It will not pollinize other varieties.
