Prunus domestica ‘Stanley’
The Stanley plum is a sweet, richly flavored European prune plum that can be dried without being pitted! The flesh of the Stanley plum is tender, fine, and turns a beautiful purplish red when canned. Â Stanley plums are excellent for fresh eating, canning, preserves and drying. Â
A heavy annual producer once it matures into production age – which can take 5 years or more. Stanley is reliably self-fertile. A good plum selection for humid climates, except where black knot is a known problem.
